In the spring of 2004 Mikael Wiehe released his first studio album since “En Sång Till Modet” five years ago. The title of the new album is ”Kärlek & Politik” (Love & Politics) and includes 12 songs with the message about love and politics.
One week after the release Mikael started the tour through Scandinavia with over 50 gigs and the tour continued over the summer where he played 30 concerts and festivals.
Late October 2004 a new album was released with Mikael Wiehe and Björn Afzelius with songs recorded in Malmö in 1993 and that have never been released before called “Malmöinspelningarna”. The album has already reached gold status in Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
During the spring Mikael will work mainly on new material with the exception of some acoustic concerts in Denmark.
Mikael Wiehe has been an active artist for over 30 years. And is without a doubt Sweden’s biggest Sing-and-song writer.
He started his career in 1967 playing in the streets of Paris. When coming home to Sweden in the beginning of the 70’s he started Sweden’s most successful rock band “Hoola Bandoola Band” before he went on as a solo artist.
Mikael Wiehe has with his songs created his own position in Scandinavia and has today sold over 1 million albums. Besides his own artist career he is also writing songs to other Swedish artists as well as musicals and music to dance performances.
