2005 Thomas Di Leva is celebrating 25 years as and artist. This peculiar artist with his varied repertoire does hardly need a jubilee to get in the limelight.
We who has worked with him during these years of course wants to take the opportunity to take the chance to put the focus on him as an artist whom started out by releasing his first single in his hometown Gävle in January 1980.
His latest album “Tiden Faller” was released in the spring of 2004 and received gold status during the KALAS tour this summer and it was followed up in the end of the year with a Grammy nomination and a 3rd single “Om Dig” from the album.
During the coming year it is now time to celebrate Di Levas 25 years as an artist. Bonnier Amigo – his new record company since a year – United Stage – his management company since several years back, will co-operate to give the justice to the celebrations of an artist and career that has been noted more that most others.
On Feb 23 a new album “Free Life” will be released and this time it is in English. Most of the material is new but there is also English versions of the hit tracks “Vi Har Bara Varandra” and “Själens Krigare”. Later this spring documentaries of Di Levas career will be presented and during the summer he will go on tour with all the material from the last 25 years in the luggage. To the autumn it is time to present at least one spectacular surprise to take place and the recording of his new album will start – planed release early 2006.
Years go by, time fly, but Thomas Di Leva stands put, more productive and needed than ever.
