After a planned break for a couple of years Wilmer X is back and now as a quartet with their new album “13 Våningar Upp”. It was released on Jan 26, 2005 on the label Amigo where they released their very first album. Chips Kiesby has produced the new album and Wilmer X is back with a raw and primitive sound that suits them perfectly. The first single from the album is the track “God God Lust”.
On Feb. 18 they start a short club tour around Sweden at KB in their hometown Malmö and it will continue until March 28. For more dates check out www.unitedstage.se
It is close to 27 years ago since Wilmer X did their first gig at Pildamsskolan in Malmö on April 7, 1978. It took almost a year before their first record with the track “Sov Min Älskling” was released by the rock magazine Larm. The same year they released a mini-LP with the track “En Röd Elektrisk Gitarr” and then it all started. 27 years later Wilmer X is still one of the few rock bands to count with in Sweden…
